Avoid rubbing the oil on the bottom of the tub because it can be quite slippery. To clean a porcelain enamel tub start by scrubbing any stains with hydrogen peroxide or equal parts ammonia and baking soda.

Using this give the inside of the tub a really good wipe down. If it sticks to it you do not have a full porcelain tub you have a metal one with a porcelain enamel finish. Soak a non abrasive sponge in the baking soda ammonia solution and scrub the surface of your porcelain bathtub or sink paying particular attention to stained areas. Add shine to your clean porcelain tub.

Get an old towel shirt or rag and dampen it. Next scrub the rest of the tub using a sponge and soapy water. Get yourself a nice large bucket 5 gallons and mix in it 2 gallons of water and cups of white vinegar. Stick it to the side of your tub.
